Agent of Julian Draxler has come out to rubbish reports that the attacker will be leaving Paris Saint Germain this summer, following the arrival of Neymar earlier this window.
The German playmaker arrived at the Parc des Princes in January transfer window after several windows of being linked with an Emirates move, with reports that Arsene Wenger is an avid admirer of the player’s abilities.
However, the interest from Arsenal has since been silenced following Draxler’s move to PSG, but there have been speculations in recent days that the German could fancy a move away in order to get more chances.
His agent, Roger Witterman has now denied such reports, claiming: ‘Draxler will stay and will not be sold this summer.
‘Paris is building a group with the best players in the world at every post, and Julian is one of them and he wants to continue to be part of it.
Meanwhile Wenger had earlier revealed that he is open to signing an exceptional player, before the end of the summer window.
‘We are open to an exceptional player,’ Wenger told Sky Sports.
‘However, just to remind you we have 33 players here and they are all good players
‘That’s unmanageable so to bring one more player in for the sake of it would be stupid, but if we find an exceptional one, we will do it.’
