Everton have asked Manchester United to up their transfer offer for Romelu Lukaku from £75million to £90million, according to reports.
The Belgian striker is believed to be on the verge of a move to the Old Trafford after United agreed a deal with Everton for the 24-year-old, sparking reports that the forward has undergone a medical in Los Angeles, United States ahead of the move.
However, reports in Sky Sports claim that the Red Devils are currently having issues concluding the deal with reports that Everton have asked United to add more clauses to the deal that will make the total fee rise to around £90million.
Lukaku who is expected to report for pre-season training, has decided to remain in United States in a bid to wait for his transfer to Old Trafford materialise.
Chelsea were said to be frontrunners in the deal to sign Lukaku before United moved ahead of their league rivals in the move.
There are reports that Manchester United have not pulled out of the race to sign Alvaro Morata despite being on the cusp of signing Lukaku, with reports in the Daily Mail suggesting that Jose Mourinho wants to bring in another centre-forward after completing a move for the 24-year-old.
