The pair had been seen arguing over set-piece responsibilities for PSG following Neymar’s €222m arrival from Barcelona last month, with further reports hinting at a changing-room bust-up between the pair.
Neymar, though, has laughed off such claims after both he and Cavani scored in the 3-0 UEFA Champions League win over Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
“They [the media] invent lots of stories, they talk too much,” Neymar said.
“They say things they do not know, try to get into our locker room and end up talking too much, things that do not exist. But anyway, it’s OK.”
Cavani also played down any falling out with Neymar, saying: “We are all different, we might all have different ways of living and seeing things.
“But when we are on the pitch, we have to all work together as if we’re a family to go towards the same objective, which is for the team to win.”
